What a spring break! It started out with our annual visit to the Chandler Ostrich Festival. We spent a significant amount of time in the fun house ... the twisty slide was the only way out!
A quick visit with the festival mascot,
and a cotton candy break.
Later that week the kids, my mom and I headed up to northern California to visit family. The weather was cold and raining but we had a really good time visiting with everyone. I'm choosing to block out the memories of Camden's monumental meltdown on the plane ride home . Seriously, he was screaming like something out of Poltergeist, there was no controlling him. My mom got so desperate she was offing him candy to calm down. Now you know you're in a bad spot when even sugar doesn't rectify the situation. And his flip out in the play area at the mall - Melissa you can comment on that if you like ;)
Cam with Aunt Jill & Jim's dog Lakota - that poor dog endured a lot of lovin!
We spent one morning at the Habitot museum in Berkeley. The kids loved the astronaut exhibit.
The arts and crafts area was a huge hit also.
That's cousin Emma between Addie and Cam, and painting on the wall.
The lighting on this one isn't great but it's the only shot of the kids with Great-Grandpa Dave. I love that they love him as much as I do!
Spring break ended with our neighborhood's annual Spring Fling. The kids had a blast competing in sack races, dance contests and cake walks. (Addie's in the blue shirt and Cam's up front in the second shot)
I now need a break from our spring break :)
